Las Palmas-based QSTAR has established a subsidiary in Barcelona Port Forum from where the company will promote marine services and training in the national market and to other places of influence in Europe and Mediterranean.

These new facilities have an ROV pilot training center, being the second that QSTAR opens in the national territory. QSTAR was joined in the opening event by its partners and ROV suppliers EPRONS ROV LTD, LIGHTHOUSE Group, AC-CESS CO Uk, with the presence of the Port Forum Maritime Captain, representatives from the Barcelona Cluster Nautic, Tourism Chamber of Barcelona, Catalunya Police Subacuatic departement “Mossos d’esquadra”, Barcelona Ocean, Engineering School of Barcelona (Barcelona University), CSIC and Institute of Maritime Sciences (ICM), among others.

During the event, a presentation about the company was exposed talking also about the principal goals that QSTAR plans to achieve from its new facilities. An ROV exhibition was carried out in the port by our ROV pilot technician and ROV pilot supervisor team.

QSTAR S.L.U, ROV TRAINING & SUBSEA SOLUTIONS  establece una sucursal en Barcelona. 

QSTAR con su base de operaciones en Las Palmas de Gran Canaria ha abierto una sucursal en el Port Forum de Barcelona, desde donde se potenciarán los servicios marítimos y formación que ofrece QSTAR en todo el territorio nacional y hacia otras áreas de influencia del mediterráneo y Europa.

Esta sucursal cuenta además, con un centro de formación en Robótica Submarina siendo éste el segundo que abre QSTAR a nivel nacional.  QSTAR ROV TRAINING CENTER, centro de entrenamiento internacional miembro del IMCA es el primer centro de formación de esta categoría, especializado en formación y entrenamiento de Pilotos Técnicos de ROV (Remote Operated Vehicle), proporcionando una formación real y de alta calidad, acudiendo cada año alumnos de todas partes del mundo. 

En el evento de inauguración nos acompañaron nuestros socios y proveedores de equipos ROV EPRONS, LIGHTHOUSE, AC-CESS CO UK y contamos con la presencia del Capitán Marítimo del Port Forum, además de representantes de Barcelona Clúster Náutic, Cámara de Turismo de Barcelona, la unidad Sub-acuática de los Mossos d’esquadra, Barcelona Ocean,  la Escuela de ingeniería de Barcelona UPC, CSIC  y el Instituto de Ciencias del Mar entre otros asistentes. 

Durante la jornada se realizó una presentación de la empresa y de los objetivos que se pretenden lograr desde las nuevas instalaciones. Además se llevó a cabo una demostración en el Puerto con un sistema ROV de la mano del equipo de pilotos técnicos y supervisores de ROV de QSTAR,  que despertó el interés de todos los asistentes.
